Jason Upham was born January 19, 1987, to Gary and Margery Upham, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Jason lived as an only child all his life but was able to make friends fairly easy considering his positive disposition. Jason is typically a care-free and laid back individual unless he is competing and then he wants to go out and put his whole effort forward so as to have no question about his loyalty to his team and his competitive nature. Jason enrolled in Florida State University, along with some Indiana area colleges his senior year of high school and, due to his impressive GPA and his abilities on the football field, Jason was awarded with the chance to go to Florida State to further his education and hopefully his football career.
Jason, after having a not-so-great day at football practice, went to the locker room with a chip on his shoulder. While getting cleaned up after practice one of Jason’s teammates came into the locker room and began harassing him about his lackluster performance on the field. Jason warned his teammate, Bryce, to back off and leave him alone for a while but the young man wouldn’t leave.
A few minutes after the confrontation started some of the other teammates gathered around Bryce and began to add their own comments into the mudslinging. Jason, now fuming with rage, couldn’t hold back any longer and swung a wild punch at Bryce which connected solidly on Bryce’s chin knocking him out cold. As the other teammates immediately quieted and backed away Jason examined the scene that was before him. He looked over Bryce’s limp and unconscious body and then down to his fist. Suddenly, all of the color dropped from Jason’s face as he realized what had transpired. Jason’s hand was covered in a metal gauntlet of blue and red steel. Horrified, the teammates dispersed and ran out of the locker room.
Jason, still shocked, began to look around for an explanation on where he came across a metal gauntlet and how he was wearing it considering he never remembered putting it on in the first place. As Jason turned to face his locker he noticed something peculiar, his locker door was no longer there. “Where could it have gone,” Jason thought and then it hit him, the gauntlet was made out of the same metal that the locker door was made out of. The steel glove was even the same mismatch color as the lockers.
Somehow the door that Jason had been holding while Bryce was trash talking had wrapped itself around Jason’s hand and transformed into a gauntlet which facilitated the knockout punch to the chin of his aggressor. As quickly as the shock had set in, the metal glove removed itself from Jason’s hand and fell to the ground. Falling to the floor with a sudden crash the gauntlet had turned back into the door of the locker. Jason quickly grabbed the remainder of his things and left the locker room.
