History
Isaac Mendez is a tortured artist struggling in New York City. His Heroine addiction ruined much of his life, leaving him, for the most part, alone in his life, with little more than his ability (which he considers to be his curse) to occupy his time. He resides in a loft in New York City, where he continues to sell his paintings as well as put together issues of his popular comic book, “9th Wonders.” But with his expensive habit, rent, and actual supplies, even with the income generated by his talents he is still in a never ending struggle to survive in the city. None of this helped in what had once been a beautiful relationship between him and his art dealer (and former girlfriend) Simone Deveaux. Where the two had once been in love, Isaac allowed himself to fall into a dark spiral which tainted, and then finally shattered what the two had once had. While she still cares and loves for the man (as well as deals his art.) it became painfully obvious that it would take a lot more than just losing her to save him. Their relationship remains estranged, somewhere between love and hate, with his art playing the role of a catalyst to keep the two together.
