Storyline

What's it about?

Basically this SL is all about Heroes, if you haven't noticed it yet, except we're coming up with our own ideas to add to the plot starting during the time period of "Six Months Ago."

Can events be avoided?

It depends on what the event is. Major things such as the eclipse, and Peter blowing up New York cannot be avoided, as well as the creation of the Shanti Virus being that it was made pre, "Six Months Ago."

How will this be done?

Each RP session will be broken down into episodes. These episodes will be summarized in advanced then RPed to fill in all details in order to prevent plotholes. Discuss with other people, if you want their characters to play a part in your particular segment so there is no confusion.

So, anyone can get together whenever?

Yes, you can RP outside of scheduled group sessions.

Site

How do I add things to the wiki?

In order to add things to the wiki such as your character pages, logs, and etc go to sign up at the top. Once there fill in the appropriate information and let one of the mods know your user name. User names must be the first and last name of your character! If you have two characters replace the last name of the first with the first of the second.

Can I edit other character pages?

Yes, you can but only if you're given permission by the player of said character to do so. Also anything posted must be factual and not opinion oriented.

Can I get help editing and putting up logs?

We're all about helping each other out here, and truly don't mind lending a hand every now and then, however don't become dependent on someone else all the time. Eventually, you'll need to learn how to do those things yourself.

Characters

Who's alive and who's not?

Just because a character is dead on the show does not mean he/she is dead in the SL. Remember this takes place during the frame of the Season One episode, "Six Months Ago."

Are characters who don't have abilities allowed?

Indeed they are. In fact we want more normal characters around.

What about future characters?

Due to the mass confusion regarding future characters, we've decided that the future person is technically the same as the present. There is NO future episode SL, so if we ever decide to play something set in the future, the person playing the current version of that character will also play the future version.

Can I have an unlimited amount of custom characters?

Technically yes, but you can only have two characters at a time. When one dies you can make another.

What if I have two cannon characters? Can I make a custom then?

If that is the case then yes you may.

Is there any way a non-canon character can become a main character?

No there really isn't. A non-canon character can become a relevant figure however but they can still be offed at any time.

If I play a character, are they under my complete control?

Indeed they are. You are free to take your character in any direction that you choose, but hopefully in doing so it's free of plot holes and the like and is sensible. Keep in mind though that your actions influence the actions of those around you.

Someone basically said that my character did something when they didn't or I didn't want them to. Is that allowed?

Nope, there will be very little tolerance of that unless you give give expressed permission to allow that person that kind of power. Otherwise, there are no saying what other characters did unless they did indeed do it.

There's a character that I want that's taken, what do I do?

Well unfortunately there is nothing that you can do about it unless the position is suddenly freed, then you may apply for said character. However, if the character in question has been gone for an extended period of time we may consider replacements.

Death

If Sylar took someone's ability outside of the group session…

Then they are still dead. Yes.

Can characters die without consent?

All character's except mains can die at any given point. If it can't be helped then it can't be helped.

How can I kill a main character?

You can't kill a main character unless you have mod approval.

I don't want Sylar to get my ability, can he really do this?

Yes, yes he can.

What if someone allows a character to die, but wants him/her to come back in a later episode or the next season?

It all depends on the way you bring your character back. It has to make sense.

So it can be something like how Tracy came back?

Yes, but hopefully everyone will not resort to doing that or we wont allow that any more

Abilities

Assuming one joined the plot, would they have a right to have their character(s) outright avoid Peter?

Well that's a chance they'll have to take

What if someone has an ability that allows for multiple uses?

As long as it's one ability at it's core then it's fine.

How fast can I develop my abilities?

Well that's up to you really, but make it reasonable. Don't just discover the power and be doing all this amazing stuff and have an extreme degree of control.

What if someone had the ability to permanently suppress the abilities of another?

Permanent suppression is not allowed. The ability would have to have a time limit or something. That's basically like another Arthur but without getting the power.

What if someone had a character who was seemingly normal but developed an ability somewhere down the line. Is that allowed?

Well as you know people develop abilities in the show at different ages some earlier and later than others. So yes. Though we don't want everyone going this route.

Factions

And what if someone wanted to be a part of the company (assuming it's still around in your story). Is that allowed?

Yes

What if someone wanted to make an organization outside of the company that was smaller and more ruthless in its methods?

By all means go ahead, but it's founding, funds, etc has to make sense or it will be shut down or destroyed.
