Personality
Candice, formerly known as Betty, has quite the tainted personality. Using her power over perception, she changes her appearance to a beautiful girl in her mid-twenties. This is because her "true form", is of an overweight woman. She was ridiculed in school everyday by the other kids, picked on, teased, and made fun of practically every day of school. This ridicule that she endured, messed with her mind mentally, and she was finally aware of how cruel people actually could be.
Power
Candice has the ability to create Illusions around her, and distort the way people percieve reality. She can alter her appearance with her ability, aswell as the apperance of others. She can make herself look like anyone, or anything that she chooses with her illusions. Her ability works hand in hand with the human brain. The illusions that she can create, fools even the brain and it is even possible for her Illusions to make someone have a mental breakdown, if they were subject to some of the twisted stuff she can create. The illusions she cast fool the brain, even subdueing them to false pain if the cast Illusion entails it. The cerebral cortex percieves reality by sight, and other senses. If warped enough, the brain can tricked into falsehoods via her illusions. Candice has been shown to drastically alter scenes around her, aswell as casting multiple Illusions at once. During the last day of school in her home town, when she was living her old life as "Betty." She made violent illusions of her school burning down during a Pep Rally. The illusions of the school burning down, people's skin melting from the heat and being disfigured, completly getting back at those that ridiculed her. After that day, she had took up the name Candice and vowed to use her "strong" ability, to make people see her how she wants them to see her. She was in control of her destiny now, not the cruel people of her past. Leaving her hometown behind, she ventured off to start her brand new life.

Candice was played few of her little tricks of the mind as usual, but she was able to track down the location of Arthur Petrelli, without Angela's knowledge. With that, she made a buisness deal with Mr. Petrelli…who is bedridden.
