Personality
Power
Ability Absorption - The power to obtain abilities from other evolved humans through physical contact. This ability transfers power from the victim to Arthur, generally rendering absorbed powers unusable by the victim forever. Victims have been known to regain some measurable degree of their power, however, but it is extremely rare, and even rarer that victims regain powers to their fullest extent. A willful, conscious effort must be made to absorb another's ability rather than incidental contact. Arthur can generally activate this power through the medium of a handshake, a hug, or touching his hand to a victim's chest or shoulder among others. There is usually no ill side effect to the victim, but absorption of an ability that directly affects one's physical condition could theoretically result in rapid aging or even death for the individual.
Arthur's currently absorbed abilities include:
| Ability | Classification | Origin |
| Gravity Manipulation | Elemental | Pinehearst Guard |
| Healing | Spatial/Temporal | Boy from Iowa |
| Mental Manipulation | Cerebral | Unknown |
Relationships
Severing all ties with his family after his wife poisoned him, Arthur has invested himself fully into his new establishment: Pinehearst Biotechnologies. He has recently begun enlisting the help of other evolved humans to act as his high-priced agents:

History
Together with his wife and ten other exceptional individuals, Arthur founded the Company to use their abilities for the greater good of society. Along the way, there were several exclusive alliances among the founders and later members and agents. Among them was Arthur's legal contribution toward Daniel Linderman, a supposed criminal mastermind whose unique perspective turned him away from the Company's goals. Though there were countless allegations and attacking rumors, Linderman was never convicted courtesy of Arthur's guidance. Years later, now a family man as well as a Company man, Arthur was confronted by his eldest son, Nathan, explaining to him their own beginnings of an investigation against Linderman. Arthur's views shifted from ideological to radical, and he would do anything to keep his goals intact and attainable, even if it meant destroying his own family. Using Linderman to get to Nathan and his own abilities to repress his wife, Arthur seemed to have everything covered. However, a shred of guilt overwhelmed Linderman into restoring Angela's memories. As a result, Angela poisoned her husband for the sake of protecting her son. Believed to be dead in the public eye, Arthur remained completely paralyzed and bed-ridden, depending upon artificial means just to sustain his life.
Months passed and, in the midst of the nuclear explosion at Kirby Plaza, Arthur's salvation came in the form of a young man from Iowa who was coerced into healing Arthur of all his afflictions. Free from his paralysis and his dependency upon doctors and machines, Arthur now works to build his own company, Pinehearst Biotechnologies: an institute dedicated to facilitating evolved abilities in normal human beings through artificial and synthetic means.
