Peter Petrelli
New York, New York

Peter

: :: Walking down the sidewalk Peter's gaze was on his hand held ahead of him in his gut. Spreading is hand open and closed showing himself his palm he was still blown away by what had happened. Not only was the sparks odd, but then finding out that his mother had been lying to them the entire time……this is just something Nathan needed to know. Which happened to be where he was heading. Looking to the right he caught eye of one of those gigantic Petrelli promotion posters with his brother's even bigger smile on it. With a light sigh Peter pushed past a few people through the entrance of his brother's office and began to take a look around for any sign of his brother or those goons he called security that weren't too far behind.::[D]

Nathan

: Tap…tap…tap. The rhythmic sound of the pen repeatedly falling against the desk filled the room, providing a sort of meditative mantra for the man seated behind it. Solemn eyes turned towards the window, clouded with doubt and uncertainty. Was he going down the right path? Was he allowing his grief to overshadow his judgement, enabling people like Tracy Strauss to manipulate him? She'd said there were no strings attached, no fine print, but he couldn't help but wonder if there was an ulterior motive. The sudden blip from his phone broke through this contemplative moment, Nathan moving to hit the red button. "Mr. Petrelli? There's a strange man in the lobby. Should security handle him?" "…Does he keep flipping his bang?" "…Y-Yes?" "Alright, send him on through."

Elle Bishop
Hartsdale Research Facility

Elle

: ::Slowly making her way to her father's office, Elle would stop in front of the door, hesitating to grab the handle. She was pretty sure that bitch Angela Petrelli blabbed about her telling Peter about abilities, and a lecture was sure to come. Finally, turning the knob she entered. Lucky her, he didn't seem to be in yet, so she went over by his desk and flopped down in his chair touching all of the gold pens and other nick knacks strewn about. She was quickly trying to come up with an excuse before he arrived, the last thing Elle wanted was for him to think that she was incompetent, and couldn't handle keeping Company operations secret. Staying still and quiet however wasn't something that came particularly natural to her. Creating a crackling ball of energy she bounced it up and down, while she twirled around his chair.::

Bob

: "Still behaving like a child I see, Elle." If she were planning to impress Bob with her sudden "mature" outlook on life, then perhaps spinning around in his chair wasn't the best way to go. He stood at the corner of his desk, lips pursed as he equipped his 'disappointed father' expression while she moved from his seat. Sometimes a look could tell more than mere words ever good. "I've been hearing things, Elle. And I have to say…" He spoke every word slowly, leaning forwards on the desk to emphasize. "They haven't been very good at all. I swear, I just keep giving you chances, and you throw them right back in my face. Don't you want to make me proud?" Shaking his head, he leant back in the chair, canting his head to the right as he watched her. "I thought you were ready for this…but maybe I was wrong…"

Alexis

: :: Just outside Bishop's office door boots could be heard against the hard hallway tiles. Taking a deep breath before entering the room Alexis regained her professional composure. Of all the founders, Bob was the one she disliked he most. Squeezing the handle she opened the door and walked inside without a word, as not to interrupt her boss' 'groove'….or whatever he was doing. With a quick glance she recognized the blonde as the little girl who had been free to frolic and do as she pleased through the Company. God how Alexis hated disrespect for the cause. Folding her arms across her chest she stood to the "back" of the room-more so behind Bob awaiting to be called upon. She knew she was receiving an assignment, but not what it was just yet.::[D]

Claire Bennet
Union Wells High

Claire

: Lockers slammed randomly throughout the hallways of the Texan school; sounds of the students preparing to switch classes. Claire had already had a glorious morning trying to stay up during her math class and now had the suffer the wonders of science! After grabbing that heavy bit of required reading, her own locker door clanged shut just in time for her to see the ponytailed blonde strolling up to greet her. If you wanna call it that, anyway. 'Oh, God, Jackie..not now..' Getting it out of the way early, she rolled her eyes out of view before her 'B.F.F' approached. "Heeey, Claire! Didja hear about the party at Mike's? Parents are out and his older brother's bringing booooze…" She faked a hurt wince, smiling apologetically as she began walking to her designated bio room, "Ugh, this weekend? That really sucks. My dad's got some kind of camping trip planned…I can't get out of it, sorry." The girl arched a brow, "Camping? Since when do you guys do that?" "Since dad found his old fishing rod. I'll talk to you later, alright?" Before Jackie had the option of answering, Claire allowed herself to be whisked away by a group of passing students, sighing thankfully as she slipped through the wooden door marked 204. Relieved to be studying dissected pigs? That's a first for her.

Casey

As much as it sucked for him, Casey Dolsen was suffering from a disease known as New-Student-itis. Of course, this left him in a social standing somewhere above the kid that always smelled bad and the kid that never stopped doodling on their backpack. Luckily, though, he was not exactly looking to climb the social ladder until he at least met someone worth talking to; the brown haired boy thus far had only spoken half-syllables to people capable of grunting some response that he hadn't really deciphered yet. He turned his attention to the teacher, who pointed out one of the empty desks. "Alright guys. New student… ah… Casey Dolsen. Miss Bennet, you're going to partner with him fora while, alright?" Which meant that he'd be stuck with her forever, or until they blew something up. Considering they were dissecting things, it might even be an injury lawsuit, judging by the teacher's demeanor. Dropping his bag next to the chair, he took his seat. "Hey. Is he always that enthusiastic?" He asked, more for an attempt at human interaction than genuine curiosity. She looked popular.

Peter

: :: Pushing his bangs to the side Peter turned to see a pair of Nathan's goons. Upon being escorted to his brother's office…as if he didn't already know the way….he walked in, shutting the door behind him. It would be obvious this wasn't a normal visit as Peter offered no hug or smile towards his brother. Running thoughts frantically through his mind he knew he needed to talk to someone.:: " Hey Nathan……before you even start….we need to talk.":: Pete was referring to how Nathan always found some way to bring up his election. So he was trying to skip to the major point, it was obvious Peter was either really nervous or upset over something.::[D]

Nathan

: Nathan didn't even bother rising from his seat, instead turning the chair so that he could face his surprisingly out of character little brother. Usual it was all sunshine and smiles with Peter, so Nathan couldn't help but wonder if something had happened. "I gotta admit, I'm surprised to see you, Pete. I figured you'd be too busy changing some old man's diaper to come visit your brother at the office." This was a moot point, both Ma and himself had explained to Peter that he was too good to be somebody's nurse. But ever soft-hearted, the boy just refused to listen. "What's so urgent? And please, spare me the tales about you flying around in your tights. The last thing the media needs to hear is that my brother thinks he's from Krypton."

Elle

: ::Quickly dissipating the energy ball she snapped the chair around so she was facing him. "Daddy!" She feigned excitement, "You wanted to speak with me?" Apparently that bubbly attitude wasn't having any effect on him, as he got down to business. "Hearing things? Like what?" Maybe if she act like she didn't know what he was talking about, he'd dismiss whatever Angela had fed to him, but it was apparent though that the bitch opened her mouth; she hadn't done anything else wrong. Listening to his words, she could only look down at the desk, trying not to make eye contact with him. She hated not making him happy, and she clearly wasn't making him happy. "Daddy, please… give me another chance, I promise I won't mess up this time. How was I suppose to know that his parents didn't tell him about abilities!" Elle knew that pleading her case won't work, it never works. But maybe, just this once he'd cut her some slack. It was at that moment that she saw a woman enter the room, she had seen her around, but never attempted to make any sort of contact with her. "Can we help you?" She asked sharply.::

Bob

: "That's the thing, Elle, I've given you too many chances. And so far, all I've been met with is disappointment. I just don't know anymore…" Bob dropped his head down to his chest, fingertips together as he shook it for dramatic effect. "You're too much of a loose cannon, Elle, and that's the last thing we need. You should have anticipated his ignorance, you should have been better. But, seeing as that's apparently beyond your grasp at this point in time… I've made arrangements." He rose to his feet, motioning to the woman that had come to join the two of them. He smiled, but it just didn't reach his eyes. "Meet Agent Alexis Copeland, she'll be your new partner. One of us, one of them, remember? I never thought I'd have to hire someone to keep an eye on you, sweetheart."

Alexis

: :: Jaw almost dropping at learning her new assignment Alexis became irate in her mind. Though in person, she remained pleasant, mostly because one of her bosses was in the room. Rolling her eyes she addressed Bob.:: " You have got to be kidding me." :: She walked to the other side of Bob and took a better look at Elle before returning her morally grey eyes to Bob.:: " After 30 years dedicating myself to this Company, you leave me to babysit your brat?" :: A bit of attitude slipped through on that last bit, but Alexis felt she had paid her dues more than enough and was worth damn well more to the Company.::[D]

Caleb

: "Ladies, please, check your hormones at the door. This is a place of professionalism." A third, relatively unknown man had slipped inside amidst Alexis' little tirade, hands concealed within the pockets of his all black suit. "I do believe you left the best for last, Mr. Bishop. I'm Agent Green, Caleb Green, and as of today, I'll be tagging along with you two charming young ladies." The last bit was said with ill-concealed sarcasm, seeing as it was more likely that they would kill one another by the end of the day. Elle and Alexis didn't exactly share much love, judging from the previous outburst. "And excuse me if I'm wrong, Alexis, but seeing as you've been working here thirty years… haven't you learned not to question orders? Just curious."

Peter

: :: Turning to his brother Peter pushed his bangs to the side once more as their always in his face anyways. With a deep sigh he began to recall the events as it happened and talk to Nathan.:: " Right….so I went to go see mom, only she wasn't there. This blonde girl….huh….Elle." :: Peter was talking rather fast as he had plenty of things to tell Nathan.:: " Elle, she was looking for mom too……Nathan…..mom has been lying to us!" :: Whether this was a delusion or not Peter seemed to believe it.:: " Elle, she told me that mom is running some kind of secret company to hide people…….people like me Nathan." :: Peter was now caught in a gaze at his hand for a moment before shouting rather loudly.:: " I can create electricity Nathan!"[D]

Nathan

: And here Nathan had been actually about to listen to Peter, to honestly take his words into consideration. But the moment he went off on a tangent about their mother, his Ma, running some sort of secret company…well…he just couldn't do it. And then the boy had the audacity to talk about his sudden ability to make electricity. "…Really, Peter? Electricity?Really?" He stood up from his chair, moving to the door and peeking his head out of the crack that he made. Satisfied that nobody had heard this outburst, the future senator moved to sit on the edge of his desk. "Commere', Pete…" He motioned with his fingers, urging his younger brother to approach him. And when he was in reach? A light slap was delivered to the side of his face. "You have obviously lost your damn mind. Listen to yourself, Peter. Powers? Secret companies? For god sake, Pete, Mom?! Do you have any idea how crazy you sound right now? Imagine if this got out, just picture the headline. "Younger Petrelli Brother Thinks He's Storm!" Do you have ANY idea how much that would ruin my campaign!? Here I am, trying to make a real difference to the world. And you come in here with some crackpot story! Grow up, Peter."

Elle

: ::When the woman was mentioned, Elle just rolled her eyes. "Yeah right, like I need this loser baby sitting me. Daddy, I can take care of myself!" The role of innocent victim she had been playing was now gone. There weren't enough words to describe the deep irritation she felt over this. Well when the woman began to mouth off to her dad she had just about enough. "What!? Brat? Who. The. Fuck… are you to talk to my father like that." Whatever self control Elle had was now gone, in a matter of seconds she was sending ribbon lightning into Alexis' body with the intentions to kill. The voltage was so strong that all that would be left is a charred disfigured mess. "There! Won't be needing her after all!" Her voice was perky, and she smiled at her father sweetly. She was so blinded by rage she didn't even see Caleb come in. "Hello there!" She put on her best seductive voice, this Caleb guy seemed to be quite cute. Moving from around the desk, she'd walk over to him to get a better look.::

Bob

: "I wouldn't have to hire a babysitter if you could just do what I ask of you." He patiently waded through the witty one-liners and overall lack of respect, it was to be expected from a group as dysfunctional as this one. "Now calm down, Elle. She d-." As Alexis was damn near incinerated and dropped to the ground, Bob just sighed and began to rub his temples. Now he had to get the carpet cleaned. "Anyways, back to business. Yes, this is your other partner, the aforementioned Agent Green. Together, I'm hoping you can accomplish what one of you couldn't do alone." Bob was somewhat glaring at Caleb now, though it wasn't his fault Elle had begun to play the part of the seductive. And it was amazing how lightly he took the death of Alexis.

Alexis

: :: Once taking the intense shock Alexis collapsed to the floor as the severe pain passed through her. After a few seconds after the pain quickly diminished Alexis came to her feet, whipping off a rather large scorch from her chest where the arch had connected. Walking past Bob she gave him a light pat on the back.:: " Now I see why you picked me." :: She took her place next to Caleb and folded her arms across her chest once again. Her demeanor had seemed to become once again morally grey as she stood silently.::[D]

Caleb

: "Wow." He was referring the now charred Alexis, obviously. You don't exactly see a woman get the Static Shock treatment everyday. Though he would probably be seeing it a lot more frequently now that he was teamed up with these two. Elle had turned her attention onto him now, and Caleb couldn't help but wonder if that was a good thing or, with a quick look to Alexis' corpse, a very bad thing. He moved to take her hand in a brief shake, grinning wryly. "Hey. Glad to be working with you." And as they shook hands, Alexis popped back up off the ground, like nothing had ever even happen. Caleb nodded his head in her direction, amused by the whole ordeal. "I wouldn't recommend doing that to me, I don't resurrect so easily. Try to keep it under a thousand volts, hm?"

Peter

: :: Pushing away from his older brother as he was smacked Peter was growing frustrated. Turning back to nathan Peter spoke in a very upset tone.:: " How can you think I'm crazy? After all, you're supposed to be my brother. There are things going on here that are bigger than us Nathan!" :: Peter was growing frantic as his brother kept tossing aside his words as if they were garbage.:: " Why won't you LISTEN TO ME?!" :: Peter yelled out those last words as he slammed his fist against the desk next to his brother. The impact was far from normal though, as a few sparks shot from beneath his fist and trickled up to his wrist before disappearing. Upon seeing this he looked up to his older brother looking for reassurance that he really saw that.::[D]

Nathan

: "Bigger than us? I'm afraid I gotta disagree. I'm trying to change the world, Pete, what's bigger than that? And I wouldn't be your big brother if I let you go around making up stories, potentially getting thrown in the crazy hou-." Suddenly, his younger sibling had an outburst, which culminated in sparks flying around his fist and fizzling out. His eyes widened in alarm, but it was in a matter of seconds that the composed Nathan took control once more. He put his hands on either of Peter's shoulders, shaking him lightly and coercing him to meet his gaze. "Listen…Pete, you look tired. Go home, get some rest, forget about this hero stuff. I'll talk to Ma', if it'll make you feel better. Right after I put in a call to the electrician, can't have the future Senator dying in a horrible fire due to some faulty wiring, right?" He grinned, apparently ready to play the whole event off.

Elle

: ::Caleb had every right to be cautious regarding Elle, there was a reason why she had been solo this long. She and partners generally didn't mix for the most part, and it ended up in them getting killed. Only a few were to ever survive. When he offered her a hand shake she obliged, but in a sudden burst of motion grabbed his arm and stuff beside him smiling up at him. 'Under a thousand volts, huh?' "We'll see…" she sang. "Thank you, Daddy I like this one already!" Her tone then turned dark. It appears that Alexis was like Pom-Pom and Monroe, "This one though…you can take back to whatever dumpster you pulled her from." She gave Alexis a final glare and looked back at her father. Not missing a beat though she noticed the look he gave Caleb and smiled, maybe she could use that to her advantage.::

Bob

: Maybe it was Elle he should have been glaring at, rather than her new partner. Especially since with her previous history, the poor kid would be dead in a week. Then again, he did have a rather exceptional record, so maybe things would be different. That was one of the reasons he'd tagged on Alexis as well, to use her abilities to play as mediator. "Anything for you, princess. Just don't break this one like the others. Now, down to business. There are a list of individuals that I'd like you to bring in. Now, I know, some of them are a little…risky, so to speak. But I trust you to get thing done." His words were more focused on a certain politician that was located in the files he handed to Alexis and Caleb

Alexis

: :: Alexis snatched the files before Caleb could, but handed him a few anyways. Flipping through the documents she noted quite a few names; Nathan Petrelli, Micah Sanders, Matt Parkman, Molly Walker…There were more than 20 names in this folder. Something was off, there not once has been more than 2 at a time. Though Caleb was right and questioning orders was always bad. Giving a nod to Bob she handed the rest of the papers to Agent Green before pulling out one of her 9 mm pistols, re assuring that it was loaded, before sliding that clip back into place and putting her gun away.:: " Shouldn't be a problem." :: Alexis seemed to get straight to business, something any Company man would enjoy to have in a partner.::[D]

Caleb

: Break him? He'd really gotten a hell of an assignment, with this one. Yet, despite the various implications flying around that he could lose his life in a hail of electricity at any given moment, Caleb just grinned broadly. "Glad to be of service." He took the folder from Bob, unfazed when Elle was suddenly clinging to his arm like it was their prom day. "Uh…you can look on with me." He flipped through the various files, two catching attention above all. "…Gabriel Gray. Level 5 priority. This guy sounds like some serious work. And this Molly Walker…she… she's a locater? As in she can find anybody, anywhere?"

Claire

: That's what she hated about this school. She was a smart girl. She was a pretty blonde. The two didn't mix very well in Texas. You either stuck with the pompoms and went to homecoming, or sat with a book, got good grades, and kissed your social life goodbye. Claire had opted for the former, though more grudgingly than people would realize. As the announcement for a new student carried over the heads of the student, she sat in her stood, idly gazing out the half-curtained window, though stirred when she heard her name. Chin lifted from her palm, gray eyes gazing to the new boy that was heading in her direction. The teacher looked at her face with that expectant look, arched eyebrows, head tilt forward and all that. Could only mean one thing. 'Partners. Great.' Forcing a halfhearted smile as he took a seat, she didn't quite understand his question since she wasn't paying attention in the first place, so her answer was safe and generic, "Ah..not usually." Wait. Was that sarcasm? Nice answer, moron. As if they don't think you're cliche enough, Barbie. "Yeeah…so…let's just get this thing over with." "Papers are on the tables with instructions. Go pick a pig, tray, tools…and let's get cutting!" Cute, teach. Real cute. She groaned softly, not bothering to mask her obvious distaste for the week's activity.

Casey

It was the most difficult thing in the world for him not to roll his eyes - she probably was popular, based on the amount of ditz in her speech patterns and how much she didn't pay attention. She was probably a cheerleader who was able to coast on little more than a good smile and an excellent rack. He didn't know for certain, she was sort of leaning, but he wasn't one to care, either. "I'll get the stuff…" He managed, trying hard to appear as nonchalant as you had to to fit in with the rest of the kids. He was pulling the same routine as everyone else who wanted to be at least left alone - eyes forward, agreeable, don't try hard to be popular. Fingers wrapped around the tray which housed a dead baby pig, and one full of utensils with which to dismantle it part by part. Shaking his head as he returned to the desk, he placed it on the surface carefully. After taking his seat, he resumed another conversational attempt: "Are you writing, or are you cutting?" He asked, though he could probably assume she wasn't much of a physical-labour type person. Or at least he hoped that was the case; his handwriting was not exactly what one would call legible.

Peter

: :: Looking to his older brother as Nathan grabbed his shoulders Peter found a brief moment of comfort. Which faded awfully fast as he remembered his mom's attitude.:: " No, Nathan. I already tried talking to mom, she ignores me like you do!":: Peter pushed his brother's hands off him and took a few steps back a bit confused about whether he could trust his brother.::[D]

Nathan

: "Come on, Pete. You're confused, scared, I get that. There are things going on in your life that you can't explain, that nobody can explain." Was it sad right now that Nathan was just using the same speech he'd planned on using for his boys when they hit puberty? "But I'll help you. That's what big brothers are for. Just let me talk to Ma', let me handle this. You're too soft. I'll make her listen, hm?" Instead of abrasive, he tried to be understanding and supportive. It was the best way to handle Peter, in these situations.

Elle

: ::Leaning against Caleb she gazed down at the portion of the file he was reading, being that he offered to share. Looking at the picture of Gabriel Gray she burst out laughing, "What a dork! Kinda cute though…" Something was strangely familiar about the glasses wearing man, pleasantly so. As they turned the pages, she spotted Nathan's file. "Nathan Petrelli? I thought he was the son of the Wicked Witch of the West, what's he doing in here?" That didn't make any sense at all. Did Angela even know he was suppose to be bagged? Well, speaking of Angela she's not really surprised the woman could be so heartless. She'd probably eat her own young if given the chance. "Daddy, why are we going after him?" True, one was never suppose to question orders, but then again Elle wasn't really one to follow rules in the first place.::

Bob

: "Ahhh, a keen eye, Mr. Green. Molly Walker is of the highest priority, her ability would be very useful to the company. And don't take Gabriel, or Sylar as he calls himself now, lightly. He's discovered a way to siphon powers from the brain's of his victims, and there's no telling what sort of abilities are in his arsenal, now." Once again he shook his head in Elle's direction, she really did need to take this more seriously. The last thing he needed was to see his little girl with her brain cut open. (Funny how that was originally destined to happen to both of them.) "Don't question my authority, sweetheart. Just bring him in as ordered, its all part of the plan. Are there any other questions?"

Alexis

: :: Alexis took her copies of the files and placed them into her side bag. Giving Bob a slight nod as she walked past she went over to the door. With a turn of the handle she stepped into the hallway, stepping to the side she waited for the other two to leave the office so they could be on their way to the first target. Once the two came out she would walk along side of them addressing Caleb and almost ignoring Elle completely.:: " So….who first?"[D]

Caleb

: "Nah, I'm good. The usual bag em and tag em', which special focus on the little girl and the dorky psychopath. You good, Princess?" He was addressing Elle, at this point, as he twirled the folder on his index finger. "Alright team, let's do this. I'll drive." As for who their first target should be, well, there were oh so many to choose from. "Well, if we had this Molly girl, wouldn't it make our job so much easier? We could track down everybody on this list with our little human compass."

Peter

: " Okay Nathan…..maybe…y-you-" :: Peter grabbed his head about half way through that sentence before falling to the floor. Eyes were rolled back into his head so to speak as his breathing became irregular. Becoming hot and sweaty Peter seemed to lose consciousness. Although in Peter's mind he was seeing a dim figure of a man chained up to a chair in a cement cell. The dim became bright as a blonde walked into the room that Peter certainly recognized.

Nathan

: Nathan had just about to end his performance with that million dollar kool-aid smile when Peter suddenly began to falter, collapsing to the floor and sending his older brother into an instant panic. He might not have cared for Peter's stories and tall tales, but when it came to his safety and health, Nathan went instant protective mode. He dropped down beside him, cradling his head in his arms and lightly slapping his cheek. "Pete…PETE!? Wake up, come on..! GET ME SOME HELP IN HERE! CALL AN AMBULANCE!"

Elle

: "Yes, Daddy…" It was the only thing that Elle could say at this point, he had made it pretty clear that his reasons for brining Nathan in were on a need to know basis. Whatever. She'd prove to him that she could handle missions all on her own. In fact she'd bag and tag Nathan all on her own. First she just had to get away from these two but how? Still holding on to Caleb's arm she smiled up at him as they left her father's office. All that Alexis received was a smirk, she had things in store for her. Painful things. No one got away with insulting Elle Bishop and living to tell about it, regenerator or not. "You guys go ahead and go without me, I totally forgot about some paper work I had to get done, and I don't want my dad to find out I've been putting it off for weeks." It was a lie, but perhaps it would by her sometime to prepare. She couldn't just randomly go and capture Nathan, she needed to watch him for a while, figure out the right moment to attack.::

Alexis

: :: Alexis almost burst with laughter as Elle tried to make her sad sad escape with that paperwork excuse. Regaining her composure she gave a quick look to Caleb before replying to the blonde.:: " Well, daddy wants you with us." :: Alexis knew full well that if Green was as much a Company man as he let off to be he would agree, at least on this. Slipping her hands into her jacket pockets she smirked as she looked at Elle.::[D]

Caleb

: Somehow, Caleb didn't see Elle sitting behind a desk and pushing papers, ever. So of course he would find something eagerly suspicious about her eagerness to do so. If she managed to help bring in the likes of Sylar, or someone of similar desire, surely her father would be willing to overlook the fact that she had skipped off on some paperwork. "Yeah, Alexis is right. Besides, I know you don't want to be sitting in some dingy office shuffling through paper work. I'm sure you'd have a lot more fun with us. Or…" He glanced at her apparent bitter enemy. "With me, anyways. I always wanted one of my first dates to involve kidnapping and the ever-potential shootout."

Peter

: :: Upon paramedics arriving Peter was brought down to an ambulance, loaded up, and sent to the hospital. Set up in a room….blah blah. Any who, the dream. Peter was standing now in the cement room, although it seemed Elle didn't notice him. Walking around to the front of her apparent prisoner Peter was stunned to see his older brother as the one chained to the chair. This was when the dream quickly fell into darkness as Peter had the sudden feeling of struggle within himself. His body however, was now being sent into a seizure, which would quickly be tended to by nurses.::[D]

Nathan

: Nathan didn't even bother following the ambulance to the hospital, he couldn't risk the publicity. Even in the face of such an ordeal, Nathan was a politician first. There was no telling what kind of stories would circulate, so instead he did the only other thing he could do…he went to visit his mother. The door wasn't so much opened and kicked in, eyes searching for his mother instantly as though he expected her to be standing right there, waiting for him. "MA! Get out here, I need to talk to you. Now." He didn't bother for the polite pleasantries, after all, he wasn't Peter. And at that moment, he wasn't the happiest with her either.

Angela

: ::Angela was in the living room sitting in an armchair. A slow smirk creeped over her face as she heard Nathan call out. She had been expecting this. Getting up, she waltzed over to him. "Hello, Nathan. Fancy seeing you here so unexpected." She noticed right off the bat that he was angry, hell her dreams and his shouting told her that. "Is everything all right dear? You seem rather alarmed." She placed a hand on his shoulder as if to give him a motherly sign of affection.::

Elle

: ::Elle only sighed in frustration. "Fine! But if Daddy gets mad I'm blaming you!" She groaned to Alexis. Turning back to Caleb she simply smiled. Looks like she'll have to put her plans for Nathan on hold for another day. "Yeah… paper work does have the tendency to be the lamest job ever. So who are we going after first? Mapquest Girl?" Maybe going out with them would prove beneficial. Elle had been dying for a slusho, the confrontation with her father had put her nerves on age, but it didn't go as bad as expected.::

Alexis

: ::Alexis rolled her eyes as Elle groaned about then clung to Caleb like a giddy school girl. Sometimes….not being able to die has it's downfall. Boots clacked against the hard tiles as Alexis followed behind the two 'lovers' as it would seem. This should be quite the interesting mission, given new york barbie doesn't muck things up.::[D]

Caleb

: "We can just put all the blame on Alexis. Not like they can threaten to kill her, or anything." He grinned in his new partner's direction, trying to do the whole 'break the ice' routine and make it feel like more of a team. Of course, he wasn't expecting much of a reaction out of the woman. She seemed to take things much more seriously than the rest of them. "Yeah, Mapquest Molly sounds like a good first hit. What does the file say about her, Alexis? We can totally nab her off of the playground, do the whole candy in the white van routine. And speaking of which…we gotta stop by the convenience store. I'm dying for some sour taffy. And a cherry slusho."

Peter

: :: Peter soon began fading in and out of consciousness. He was able to hear chattering and doctors buzzing around him. Flickering of his eyes light poured in as Peter slowly opened his eyes. At first a bit fuzzy, but focusing, he looked around the room seeing no sign of family at all. Laying back on the pillow he sighed and thought about that odd vision he had, and how he needed to warn Nathan as soon as he could. Sitting up quickly Peter pulled the IV from his arm and disconnected all the machines running to his body. Grabbing an extra doctor's coat he slipped out of the hospital to find his brother.::[D]

Nathan

##aqua|: "Oh cut the crap, Ma'!" Nathan smoothly pushed away the hand that had come to rest on his shoulder, a rather eerie and familiar gesture seeing as Peter had just done the same to him not even an hour ago. "Peter's in the hospital, he had some kind of attack. But why do I get the feeling you already knew that? What have you been putting in his head, Ma'? Right before he passed out, he was going on and on about having these powers. Said that you were running some Company that snatched people like that off the street. What the hell is your problem? What, you run out of fairy tales, so you had to turn to LIES to appease Peter Pan?!" He hadn't mean to be so aggressive, but Nathan had long since been pushed past his breaking point.

Angela

: Slap. "Don't take that tone with me, Nathan. I am still your mother, have some respect." At the mention of Peter in a coma she feigned shock. "Oh god, Peter! Is he alright?" She was quite the actress when she needed be, and this time was no different. Nathan and Peter weren't quite ready to handle the truth at this point and it was best that they remained in the dark for now. "Nathan, don't be absurd. I'm shocked to here such non-sense, and most of all from you." Walking to the side, she went to go retrieve her coat from the closet. "Take me to see Peter, I would like to know how he's doing."

Elle

: "Yeah too bad they can't kill her, I hate her." With that Elle extended her palm and sent another blast to Alexis' back charring her again. She giggled at the site of her on the floor, there was just no getting enough of that. The smell of charred flesh and ozone flooded her senses. Oh well she'll be alright after all, not like she can die. "Alright so we're going to get Mol—you like slushos too!!!" Elle couldn't help but give a high pitch squeal in delight. "They're my favorite!" Once again she'd find herself hugging Caleb, "You're like the best partner ever!" Daddy had certainly done right this time.::

Alexis

: ::Falling to the floor from the shock to the back Alexis winced letting the pain subside. Once the pain was gone Alexis swept her leg across the floor bringing Elle off her feet as she rolled to a knee and pulled one of her 9 mm in one swift and graceful movement. Elle would soon find herself on the floor, Alexis with her knee pressing on the blonde's chest and the nose of her gun to Elle's forehead.:: " I'm getting really sick of that Sparky." :: She said to Elle as she pushed the nose deeper into the girl's forehead before coming to a stand and walking away a few feet, pistol still in hand.::[D]

Caleb

: He hugged her back awkwardly, not sure why his love of cold drink made her so happy. But that was good, happy was good. It was better than pissed off and in the mood to ale-exhibit A. Alexis. But this kitty totally had claws, judging from the whole ninja leg sweep maneuver. All the things he'd ever heard about cat fights? Total bullshit. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that one was a trained killer, the other could shoot lightning out of her fingers, and he was caught in-between the two of them for however long they were assigned together. He wasn't afraid, but he was definitely apprehensive. Watching as Alexis backed away, he quickly went to Elle's side and, grabbing both of her hands, helped her to her feet. She seemed to like him, so he wanted to diffuse this situation. "Elle, hey, uhh…let's not blast Alexis and potentially get shot in the forehead, hm? Come on, I'll pay for the slushos. The quicker we bag these guys, the quicker your dad gives us all a promotion, right? Let's just calm down and not give anybody a zeus enema, okay?"

Peter

: :: Having found his way into his own apartment via fire escape, Peter was digging through his closet as he grabbed clothes and changed out of the hospital gown. Now wearing a white t-shirt and jeans he put his shoes on before walking over to the phone. Seven quick digits were punched in as he dialed his older brother's cell phone number. As it rang he only hoped his brother would answer.::[D]

Nathan

: Nathan faltered backwards, though it was not so much the pain inflicted by the slap so much as the shock behind it. "…Sorry Ma'. But are you seriously going to stand there and tell me that you don't know anything? He was convinced that you knew something, and Peter might be a lot of things…but he isn't a liar." It was at that moment that he received the phone call, Nathan glancing down at his phone and frowning at the unknown number. This was a secure line, very few people actually had his number. No…no…it couldn't be. "…Ma, I gotta take this." He strolled away from her, holding the phone to his ear as he spoke in a hush tone. "..Pete?"

Angela

: "For God's sake Nathan! Peter's a dreamer! He's been caught in his own fantasy world for ages!" She was sure Nathan didn't need to be reminded of this, the whole family knew it. He was obviously the Black Sheep of the family it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one out. Silencing herself she'd try to listen to as much as the conversation as possible, she didn't want to appear nosey, though she was. It never hurt to be in the know about things. Deep down however, she knew that she would have to come clean about this, maybe telling them now was best… Or not.::

Elle

: ::Getting swept off of her feet came as a bit of a surprise, but overall she wasn't scared especially when that gun was pointed to her forehead. She only laughed at Alexis. "Oh please like you're really going to kill me." Alexis may have been a little tacky and rough around the edges but she wasn't a dumb ass, or she didn't seem like it rather. "Daddy will turn you into copper and have you melted in no time, you're hardly worth gold." A sane person probably wouldn't have toyed with a woman who had a gun pressed up against their skulls, but Elle was exempt from that category. Lucky for Alexis she pulled away in time, as Elle had just sent a current of electricity from her forehead which would've conducted against the gun. Shucks. Getting pulled up to her feet by Caleb was certainly worth the confrontation though. "Thanks." While Alexis' back was turned she poked her tongue out.::

Alexis

: :: With a sigh she turned toward Caleb.:: " May we go now?" :: Alexis was already very sick of one of her partners, the other wasn't so bad at this point. The person she was most hateful for this whole situation was Bob. Ugh….. what a disgusting man. She looked Elle up and down once before walking behind the pair as they led the way.::[D]

Caleb

: "Yeah, let's move. This is gonna be one long ride…" Especially seeing as the two of them would probably be at one another's throats. "Uh…you can drive, Alexis. I'll ride in the back with Elle." He wanted to put as much distance between the girls as possibly, and he would make sure that it was himself sitting behind the driver seat. Knowing the seemingly psychotic girl, she would probably try and blast her while they were driving or something. Oh well… at least there would never be a dull moment. Now the question was how to keep Elle's attention off of Alexis. Maybe they could play driving games or something. He had the feeling that taking down the targets would be a cinch compared to keeping the three of them alive…

Peter

: " Nathan?" :: Peter switched the phone over to his other hear as he pushed his bangs out of his face.:: " Nate where are you?……..That girl I told you about, waiting for mom………I think she's going to capture you, Nathan you can't go see mom!" :: Peter hoped he had caught his brother before he was in danger.::[D]

Nathan

: Glancing over his shoulder, he spoke even lower into the phone. "Pete, what are you doing outside of the hospital. I'm at Ma's house.." He paused, wondering what the hell his younger brother was talking about? "Slow down Peter, what girl? Peter, where are you? I'll come get you."

Angela

: "Is everything alright, dear?" She asked her eldest son. She had an idea of what the phone call was about, but she wanted to make sure. The future was always changing and she wasn't dreaming every minute of the day.::

Elle

: ::Great! A road trip with these two. Not that she wouldn't have minded getting away for a while but Nathan wasn't going to capture himself. "Do we have to go right this minute, I'm not ready or anything." It was somewhat true, there was no telling how long they'd be away, and she needed to have a fresh pair of clothes with her for each day. Normally she'd tough it out and shop on the go, but they didn't know that. "I just think we should plan things out for a day or two before making any hasty decisions." Taking all of that criticism from her father about rushing ahead really proved useful this time around, she was able to use his words to her advantage. She was just praying that they'd relent for now.::

Alexis

: " If you really need to get stuff……" :: Alexis let out a deep and slow sigh as she knew what was about to happen. she had orders so……:: " I'll have to come with you." :: Alexis winced within her mind not sure of what to expect barbie to bring along. She put her pistol away before slipping her hands into her coat pockets looking to Caleb for confirmation.::[D]

Caleb

: "Alright, I'll get our gear ready while you two do…whatever it is that you're going to do. Meet me in the parking garage when you're one." They would need surveillance equipment, weaponry, the whole shebang. And there was no telling how long they'd be in the field, so it was better to be safe than sorry. "Try not to kill each other, ladies." And with a wink in Elle's direction, he headed off down the hallway.

Peter

: " I'm at home Nathan." :: Peter sat in a chair as he heard that his brother was at their mom's place. This did not feel good to Peter at all. Speaking into the phone again….:: " Nathan, you gotta get away from mom. Meet me at my place." :: Peter awaited an agreement from his brother before he would hang up the phone and await his arrival. Standing he went and locked the door.::[D]

Nathan

: "What?" He didn't dare say anything out loud, even if he didn't wholly believe Peter's words. "Alright, Pete', I'll be there soon." He hung up the phone, putting it in his pocket before turning to face his mother. "…Something's come up Ma', I gotta go." He moved swiftly, to place a kiss on her cheek and brush his hand on her shoulder. "I'll take care of him, don't worry." And before she could even respond, he was already moving out of the door, moving towards Peter's apartment now.

Angela

: ::It wasn't as if she was going to respond anyways. With that she took her coat and hung it back up before making her way to the kitchen to pour herself a glass of wine. This afternoon she wanted to relax more than anything as well as calculate some further manipulations. It was at that moment that an idea suddenly popped in her head. This was a good thing. A good thing indeed.::

Elle

: ::Dammit! Why the fuck was Alexis following her. She had to ditch this girl and pronto. "Fine! You can come with me." She had plans for her. "I just wanted to get a few clothes from my room is all. Never know what hottie I might see along the way." She had to roll her eyes in her head at how ditzy she sounded. When the woman least expected it she blasted the hell out of her with enough voltage to successfully knock her out. Healer or not. Humming a little tune, she dragged her body to the nearest elevator and pressed the down button. When it arrived she pulled her in and made her way down to Level Five. Hearing all the shouts and whistles she just smiled. Flint liked pretty women. Alexis didn't look as good as her no, but she'd have to do for now. "Hey, Flint! Got a present for ya." When she punched in the key code on the side opening the door, she quickly incapacitated him and pulled in Alexis. "Have fun love birds." Closing the door behind her, she made her exit. Elle knew she'd have to lay low for a couple days so that her partners wouldn't find her, this will give her time to spy on Nathan, and make her move.::

Alexis

: :: Overloaded with electricity Alexis blacked out and collapsed to the floor. After a few minutes she began to slowly stir, she smelled scorched plastic…not too good. Sitting up she saw Elle walking away, getting to her feet she gave the scorched window a slam of her fist in anger. Turning around she found herself face to face with Flint Gordon Jr. Hand was raised above his head as it ignited in those hot blue flames.:: " Why hello there." :: He let off a sluggish and dumb sounding laugh. Rolling her eyes Alexis thought it was best to end this quickly. Pressing her hand into Flint's ignited one she diminished the flame, her palm literally cooking. Stepping just past the man she would bring his arm down backwards, elbow connecting with her shoulder causing it to hyperextend. As her hand had begun to heal already from the burn, Alexis wrenched his arm behind his back causing enough pressure to potentially break his arm at the elbow. Holding him in place in full view of the window she waited for a Company employee to walk past and see the little situation.::[D]

Caleb

: La la la doing getting things done.

Claire

: Not bothering to protest as he left to collect the necessary items, she moved into her bag, already pulling out blank sheets to take notes on. If one looked up, a majority of the girls were the ones holding the pencil rather than a scalpel. At his question, she weakly smiled, wiggling her mechanical # 2, "Hope you don't mind. Not my thing, y'know?" It faded as she looked at the little wrinkly body on the tray, It looked so…dead. 'Thank you, Captain Obvious.' It wasn't so much what they were about to do to the discolored creature, but the smell they would have to put up with. Formaldehyde..really…sucked. Nose wrinkled for a few seconds before she sighed, and began shifting through the papers that had been sitting at the corner of the table. "Alright…'Tie the legs to the sides of the tray.' " Hopefully this wasn't a two person job…the kid looked like he was capable enough on his own. At least in this department. This was gonna be some class project…

Casey

He shook his head. At least they weren't trying to skewer the legs onto the tray as they'd done with the frogs before. Granted, the bone structure might be a bit wider than a frog's. He slipped on the latex gloves provided, ignoring the fact that several of the other boys had ignored them completely. He wasn't as thrilled about dead pig bits as they were, it would seem. "No, it's no big." He replied, as he started working the little straps that would secure the piggy to its temporary home. There were four total, and it took him several seconds for each. Though it should have been easy, the smell was cloying, and they were in a room full of the preservative agent. "'sides, they wouldn't grade the paper if I wrote it all down. My penmanship sucks." He added, trying to give her a smile. At least he could be civil - they had to suffer through this together, so why not at least attempt to be nice?

Claire

: She gave a short laugh, lips twitching into a smile again. He was new, but at least he wasn't just sitting back like every other nervous high schooler. Her writing was alright, better than his apparently, and easy to read. He'd already fixed the pig for the cutting, so they were a decent enough team. And at least he was using the gloves…yuck. Dead parts was one thing…but dead parts soaked in smelly crap was another. "Awesome." She remarked, giving the next set of directions. " 'Make a Y incision down the chest, and after observing the rib cage, break it open.' …Bad news for you, Wilbur." Other groups were already carrying this step out causing several members, most of them female, to squeal their dislike and whine about how gross it was. Claire simply sat there, tapping her eraser against the tabletop, waiting to see exactly what pig innards looked like. Too bad the little guy wouldn't seal himself up afterward.

Casey

He didn't think twice - he picked up the scalpel, placed his hand on its 'chest' to make sure the skin was steady, and began cutting. For a minute, it was easy - first one line, then the second, making the V part at the top. After a second of chuckling, in which the blade did stop, he looked back to her. "You know, I'm going to sound like a jerk for saying this, but I wouldn't have pegged you for the reading type. A lot of people I know wouldn't recognize a Charlotte's Web reference if it was spelled out for them." He said, eyes never wavering from her. As he was speaking he resumed cutting the pig, moving to finish up the fun part. Of course, he hadn't been paying attention, and the scalpel slipped easily through glove, and almost half way to the bone of his thumb, before continuing through the pig's flesh. Blood started leaking from the near perfect incision, as he continued: "I pretty much reasoned you'd be the kind of girl that'd leave the cutting to me and stare off in to space. Guess I should apologize for that." He said, absently, not having even glanced at the damage he'd done.

Claire

: Eyes followed the blade as he went about his work with deliberate cuts that were working quite well. What did he do, skin animals for a hobby? He didn't look like the redneck type. Blinking as he spoke, she huffed through her nose, another smile tugging at her lips as she did half of an eye roll, "Don't worry about it…I don't read much, but it was kinda the first thing that comes to mind. That, or Babe." Her eyes had momentarily lifted to glance at this face, but fell back down to the pig just in time to see the blade settle into place. What was his name, again? Huh… "..Casey, um, you're..bleeding." It was said as kind of a head's up, as she meanwhile pointed to the injury. Cripes, that looked deep, too. Why hadn't he noticed? "I think you should go to the nurse for that.." One might wonder why she was so lax about the situation, but when you've done the same thing to yourself about fifty times, it just isn't surprising anymore.
teal|: [ his face* ]

Casey

"Huh…?" He seemed more surprised than anything - and indeed, he was. His eyes dropped down to his thumb, and, rather than panic, or do something stupid like start yelling, he just sighed. "Great…" He muttered, immediately starting to look around for something to staunch the blood flow. He might need stitches, and that would suck. "What a first impression, right?" He asked, trying hard not to roll his eyes at the circumstances. Never give knives to the new guy on the first day. After a second, he reached in to his bag, and pulled out another shirt. Gym clothes, now used for a better purpose. He clamped his hand down on his thumb, and looked back at her. "What's his name, again?" Gesturing at the instructor, who was busy scribbling something on the board. He should take penmanship lessons as well. He glanced back to her, though he looked a bit perplexed, now. She was taking this whole 'sliced finger' thing in relative stride, too. Kind of weird, considering. "Better question. Where's the nurse's office?" He asked, seriously.

Claire

: Not exactly the response the average person without healing capabilities would exude, but not something she expected, either. 'Great'? That was something you said if you dropped your books, or got homework, but a slice and dice move to your finger usually warranted some expletives. "Mr. Dwate," She began looking around for paper towels, but stopped when she saw he was already getting the job done. Ick..blood usually stained, too. Blinking at his second question, she realized he was going to get no where fast, and lose blood in the process. "..Oh, I'll show you." Getting up from her seat, she left her things aside of the pig, and headed toward the front, "C'mon." When the teacher was in earshot, she spoke up, "..Mr. Dwate..we kinda had an accident." "Claire, just clean it u—oh. Show him to the nurse, then." His gaze was moving from Claire, to Casey, to his bloody makeshift bandage, and back to Claire again. What, did he think she did it to him? She couldn't quite read that expression, but it didn't look concerned. Maybe weirded out by how calm they were behaving..Nodding, she headed for the door, waiting to be followed.

Casey

It wasn't like he got special treatment for his condition. Nevertheless, he continued to apply pressure, as they made their pause at the desk. He wasn't the brightest teacher, it seemed - his dull demeanor had carried over through the entire class. Not surprisingly, of course. Turning back to face her, he stepped up beside her as she started moving. As much as he hated it, the shirt was going to be completely ruined. "Y'know, I'm usually more careful than all that." He added, mostly for her benefit than his own. Generally speaking, he was. "Clutz isn't my thing. Most of the time." He added, trying to make the best out of a bad situation. "But I've got to say, you're surprisin' me again. You take the sight of blood pretty easy. Are you going in to medicine, or something?" He asked, as, given her response, it would be the smarter assumption. 'No, I'm self regenerating' wasn't the usual response when asked about blood tolerance."

Claire

: Heading down the hallway, she was almost relieved he'd had the little run in with the knife. At least it smelled tolerable out here. Glancing over at the shirt, she slightly grimaced. Yep. He'd need a new shirt. Listening to his observations of her, she felt her stomach grow a bit weak. Why did the new kid have to be so damn insightful? Trying not to appear to affected by it, she gave a nonchalant shrug as she slowly hugged herself with folded arms. "Nah.. just never bothered me much. You see a lot of nasty bruises and cuts at cheer camp..loses it's effect on you." That's right. Remind him of what you are. He won't get any ideas that way. Eager to switch the topic, she glanced in his direction, "And what about you? Normally people freak out a little after stabbing themselves." Her reactions were odd, but his were DEFINITELY abnormal…and he'd better answer fast 'cause the nurses was just down the hallway.

Casey

He laughed after a second. "Well, normal I am not. But you couldn't tell by looking at me. I don't feel pain." He said, as if it were the most normal thing in the world. As it stood, he just shrugged. It wasn't the most normal thing in the world, and he knew it. "It was something I was born with." He added, though he wasn't about to get in to the technical details. Yes, he could lay out the scientific things behind it, but it was pretty silly to get in to biology when you didn't have to. He wrinkled his nose, as he looked down at his own ruined shirt. "So, stabbing myself? Not that big a deal. I mean, yeah, I'll probably need a couple stitches, but hey! I save the hospital money on numbing agents and anesthesia and whatnot." He added, trying to play it off as if it was something she might encounter every day. Make a joke about it and it was infinitely more tolerable to the masses. Inwardly, he sighed. First day at a new school, and his freakdom was already revealed.

Claire

: "..Seriously?" She was actually caught off guard by that, brows arching as she looked at him fully in the face. "I didn't even know there was something like that. Weird." She nodded a bit, head tilting slightly as she mulled it over. "Might not want to tell people here..I mean, you probably didn't intend to tell me..people here don't like things that are different." You'd know best, Claire-bear. "So, what, your pain receptors or whatever just don't work?" It was an interesting concept, really…while Claire didn't feel the way the average human did with an injury, it was still there and it hurt. The possibilities for attempted suicide without the consequence for pain was…endless. Interesting. Unfortunately, her thoughts allowed her to ignore what Casey was joking about, so his attempt at humor fell on mostly deaf ears. A new door was in sight, though, with a sign overhead. "Here we are. She's older, but she's alright. Just don't complain about anything or she'll remind you how things 'used to be'." Another well placed eye roll.

Casey

"That's pretty much it. Pain receptors - I don't feel heat or cold, either. S'a problem in the summer 'cause I don't sweat." Great for his clothes and his smell, but terrible for his whole 'staying alive' thing. It meant that they should have gone somewhere cooler than Texas. Still, he liked it here for the most part. She hadn't freaked… or called him a freak, either, which was safe to say a pretty decent thing of her to do. He'd misjudged her, and he almost felt bad for it. "Sorry for ruinin' the project, though. Hopefully he'll let us make it up." He added, with a slight shrug. Then again, she may still be able to go back and finish everything up, if she wanted to. "Thanks for leading me and the advice, though. You're pretty cool, for a cheerleader." He said, with a grin, before vanishing beyond the door. He couldn't wait for this part - the immediate panic attack, the questions. All in great fun at least he'd made a friend.

Claire

: No hot or cold, either…that must suck. The sweat thing might be nice, though. Shaking her head gently at the apology, she shrugged, "If he marks us down, I'll complain about him not showing us safety or something." As for his compliments..she almost felt bad, too, but for more social reasons. "Don't mention it." Seriously. Don't. Maybe he could just read her mind, and…ugh, time to head back. Backing away with a slight head bob, she wiggled a few fingers, "Well, bye,"..and headed back toward class. Lucky her. She turned just to find Jackie heading her way with a wicked grin and a hall pass. Upon approaching her, the blonde summoned a perky smile, less threatening, too, "Jackie, hey," "New boy, Claire? C'mon, he hasn't even settled into a group yet. Besides, I think he plays for the other team." She shook her head, almost retreating back a step. Damn. Brutal so fast? Time to defend herself. "No….he's just my lab partner. Sucks at the whole cutting-the-pig part and ended up getting his thumb" "Huh…smooth. Well, don't get too close. Might lose your chances with a certain quarterback." "I'm sure I don't know what you're talking about." Her reply was nonchalant, and she was done here, stepping aside and heading back down the hall. "See you at practice, Bennet. Don't be late!" By then, her face had already become bored. Good thing Jackie was behind her. "Wouldn't miss it."
