AJ was born in San Antonio Texas. His parents James and Alexa Frost owned a large cattle farm just out of the city. AJ would become a house hold name in San Antonio by the time he was a senior in high school by his charismatic style of football that led the John Marshall Rams to three back to back state titles in his tenure at the school. AJ was the story for three years around John Marshall, filled with action packed football, and the stares of cheerleaders of course. AJ was accepted to college in Huntington, WV at Marshall University. His first year at Marshall he played second string behind, what he thought to be a less talented QB named Jonathan Davis.
Tragically Jonathan was injured in the first game of AJ’s second season with Marshall, when he was sacked by a very large beast of a man, which was playing linebacker for the opposing team. AJ would enter the game only to lead his team to victory and then to a college title that year. This all seemed like a rinse and repeat from his high school year’s football, sleep, class, and cheerleaders that’s what he called life until.
It was the week of finals, of his second semester of his junior year AJ was extremely stressed about his chemistry final that was looming on the horizon, and he was not prepared at all. Wired with caffeine and sugar, he decided to pull an all nighter and study and cram for this test in hopes to get maybe a C. As AJ was pouring over endless chemical equations, and the composition of some of the most basic elements of life, he felt the sweat start to form on his brow. AJ knew his time to study was growing ever thin and he had so much left to go. Just then out of, what AJ would call his blindside; he was hit on the wrist by something. AJ looked down and see nothing out of the ordinary on his wrist. So he lifted his arm and began to give it a once over, ready to dismiss the startle to the extra caffeine and sugar. AJ saw the normal College championship ring, wrist watch, and a yellow live strong band. Shrugging he started lowering his arm to hear something hit the floor. It was his watch. AJ reached down and grabbed the watch off the floor and laid it on the desk trying to get back to his studies. Three hours and four sugary drinks later, AJ was in the zone going page after page through his class notes trying to store all this to his memory before his eight am final. Just as suddenly as before AJ was struck in the chest by something that nearly scared the daylights out of him, again it was his watch this time it was literally stuck to his left peck and he could not remove it. Finding this to be a little odd to dismiss, AJ called out to his roommate, who was fast asleep in his bed. Anton arose with some dismay grunting about AJ keeping it down or at least put a pillow over her face for his sake. AJ called out to him once again and this time with some force, shaking Anton awake with the change in the tone of his name. AJ then explained to Anton about the watch, which by this time had once again fallen upon the floor. Anton less then pleased by the interruption of his sleep shook of the allegations of a watch sticking to his chest as crazy talk and climbed back into bed. AJ spent the rest of the evening or morning depending on who you asked trying to recreate this
Everything fell right back into place for AJ, even passing his finals with flying colors, this was of course due to his dedication to his studies and the pursuit of academic supremacy or so he thought. AJ spent many days in his routine football, class, and of course cheerleaders however his nights were dominated by his obsession to get this blasted watch to cling to him again. On his fourth week of fruitless work on this watch he was facing the option of giving it up. AJ sat Indian style on his bed in a pair of basket ball shorts and a clean Marshall Tee shirt trying to focus on this watch with all he was worth, just as his mind was at the point of exhaustion it moved. Not only did it move it came to his hand like someone had picked it up off the desk and handed it to him. Ecstatic with this event, he let out a scream of joy and discovery, while Anton hurled cheap shots about having a girl in the room this late on a Tuesday night something to the effect of him being some kind of sex addict or something. AJ paying no attention to Anton threw his watch back on the desk and attempted to try again to move the watch. The watch shook, as the power that AJ was exerting upon it. This time with force the watch flew to his hand and this brought a sick smile to his face. After two more hours of this simple trick AJ was ready for a new test. Slowly day by day AJ was figuring out he could move other things in his room; his baseball bat, coins, and even the blinds. Maybe it was only metal things he could move he thought. AJ then lifted his baseball bat and was in the process of bringing it to his hand when his door flew open startling AJ with the sudden noise and movement. As the bat fell to the floor, there Stood Anton open mouthed and in awe at what he just saw. AJ quickly jumped to his feet and grabbed the bat which upon reaching it he saw that the bat was crushed almost in half. AJ made Anton swear to keep this between them until AJ figured out what was going on with him he gladly swore to keep his mouth shut.
AJ now at the end of his third season of football with Marshall found his team tied and heading into the sudden death overtime upon the first team to score will be awarded the victory. AJ drove his team from their starting twenty yard line forty yards to the opposing teams’ 40 yard line just bringing his field goal kicker into his range. On second down AJ was planning to roll out into a bootleg to the right and throw the ball to his running back to pick up five or so yards to ensure his kicker would be well in range and all be seal the victory. AJ hiked the ball and sold the play action wonderfully freezing the linebackers just long enough to by him some time to get set to throw the ball, just then the defensive end broke free on the right side and began to chase AJ with the smell of victory in his pursuit. AJ feeling himself being chased was not ready to throw the ball so against his good judgment he tucked the ball into his arms and started to run the ball himself. One yard passes and AJ was sure he was way faster than that monster of a defensive end and he was not going to catch him. The second yard passed and AJ felt his confidence build it had been at least four games since he ran a scoring drive in himself. As the third yard passed he was convinced this was his show and he was going to make it to the end zone. AJ watched as the yards passed just like the defenders one by one he was getting so close to the threshold of victory he could taste it. Just as AJ was set to land the final juke move that would shake the free safety out of his cleats he planted his right leg to shake to the left and felt the snap of the ligaments in his knee it was the most searing hot pain that shot from his knee all the way to his throat and he collapsed in a heap upon the field on the thirty yard line. As the medics rushed onto the field AJ was screaming to let his watch the end of the game before taking him away to be treated. The kicker of the thundering herd made his way on the field confident to make this chip in shot from only 35 yards out. Just as the ball was about to be hiked the opposing team called time out to ice the kicker and try and shake his faith and normally this kind of thing had no effect on the Marshall kicker for he was a senior and very good at what he does. They lined back up once again ready to drive this ball home and send Marshall on to another championship title but there was something wrong AJ was sure of it. The ball was snapped and put in place by the backup QB and the kicker started his approach as his foot made contact with the ball AJ knew he had punched it and thus it was going to veer to the left. Unsure of his powers still he pushed all the pain from his forethought and focused for what seemed like an eternity on those goal post and just like that watch they were manipulated to do whatever AJ wanted and to the left ever so slightly they bent as the horribly kicked ball bounced off the left upright and into the scoring zone awarding Marshall the victory.
